Project #1 . The Icon
Tonight i am going to begin working on an art project. It will be a painting of a religious icon on drywall. Drywall ( basically the inside walls of houses), absorbs more of the paint than a regular canvas, so i am very excited to see what happens with this project.
This is my first icon painting ever. if i can i will put up pictures of the process later on. I will be using the golden ration for measuring out; the size of the painting, the measurements of the figure in the icon, and ect. My medium will be acrylics
My reasons for painting this icon for mt first official project would be that, although i'm not a religious individual, i find a lot of ideas that could be pushed forward in these painting that are somewhat unseen to viewers and even the artists themselves, and i'm hoping to get the message through, and in good taste.
If you run by this blog i could use any advice, and i would be happy to answer any questions, and i am up for conversation

YOU tell me
I have found that art comes in many forms and motions and sounds.I have been so inspired by some of the Catholic ikons to try an older form of art. The book i got goes over symbolism and such, and i can't wait to take on a new project.

Who am I ? :My name is Ann but you can call me Annie! This is my first time blogging, and i am excited to share my ideas, questions, knowledge and controversy. I don't know what people think about me, and honestly most of the time i do not care
What am i passionate about? : I love art and i put my focus of that around the human form (figure art) because i find the human body beautiful and fascinating and i hope i can find a career in the field of art. I love to read, particularly Anne Rice novels. I thoroughly enjoy cooking as well. I also do jujitsu grappling, MMA, and some boxing. I honestly have a lot of fun in these classes (even though i am kind of a slow learner when it comes to the classes).
My reasons for blogging: Well honestly, sometimes i will be going incognito to restaurants and rating them and writing my opinions, posting recipes, and sometimes i just might have an open discussion on a certain subject that could be open to anybody who is interested
