My drawings are like half finished story's. There is this feeling of unsatisfied thirst for the completion of my portraits. I also yearn for a mentor in this field. I am a highschooler and my art teacher is a great artist, but shes not the best art instructor, and she defiantly does not have the patience to deal the even small mistakes that i make. In fact she says i should know better, but to be honest i have taught myself everything i know, and i have never had formal instruction with my art, and there are small bits and fragments i do not verbally or mentally understand.
Straight to the point! I need communication with other artists! I need someone who is willing to communicate and work with me through these complications, and not scrutinize me for my mistakes; only to acknowledge that i have mistakes and teach me to learn.
